Sanja Kos graduated from Gimnazija Lava and then received a degree at the Maribor Faculty of Arts. During the LLW, she visited her former school at the Celje School Centre to share with the students her personal experience on the path to education. Visitors were especially impressed by her perseverance, will and the special energy she radiates. The event was just one of many held during LLW 2020.
The events were aimed at adults and their goal was to strengthen awareness on the importance of lifelong learning. We prepared over 80 different events in collaboration with providers.
At the Celje School Centre, we spoke with Ana Ferme, who shared with us the secret behind the healing power of music in connection with neurophysiotherapy. Through photos, we went on a journey through Sardinia and a motorcycle adventure across the Pyrenees. We got to know the world of sport climbing and learned exercises that can be used to relieve the spine in just a few minutes. In collaboration with CMEPIUS, we presented the advantages and benefits of using the eTwinning platform in class and learned about the practical value of the LinkedIn social network. The “Mladi in moda” (Youth and Fashion) exhibition in the school library offered us a chance to admire the clothes and creative products made by young fashion designers as well as to learn how to apply make-up for business occasions and how to braid hair for every day.
Despite these thankless times in which personal contact and experiences have largely been replaced by distance learning, we as the event providers tried to network as much as possible and maintain genuine interaction with participants, naturally while taking into account all necessary protective measures. Hoping for LLW 2021 to be held in its usual format, we promised to work together to spread the power and joy of learning.
