In adult learning, the most valuable moments are often those that cannot be measured – when someone regains confidence, when a young person or an adult feels safe for the first time in a long while or when a spark returns to someone’s eyes. These are exactly the kinds of moments EPALE aims to capture through this year’s EPALE Community Stories 2026 initiative.

We are not looking for perfect projects or flawless success stories, but for honest, human experiences in which learning intertwines with life – stories of how someone found support, meaning and renewed trust in others through learning.

Taking part in the EPALE Community Stories initiative offers organisations and individuals a valuable opportunity to strengthen their visibility and connect with the European community of adult educators. If you have recently joined EPALE or are still gathering the courage to publish your first contribution, this initiative is an ideal place to begin.

By sharing your story, you can maximise its impact, as EPALE presents it to more than 179,000 members across the European community in an authentic, personal and engaging way. It highlights precisely what makes adult learning truly unique: its humanity, transformative power and capacity to build relationships.
