The project aimed to gain the international experience of educators in Idrija Lace School, learn about intercultural differences and improve their competencies in communication with foreign adult learners. However, the project brought much more to the school. Employees who were reluctant at first returned enthusiastically from various EU countries, where they took part in structured courses and shared their experiences with coworkers and in the form of notes on the website of the Idrija Lace School, the local newspaper and social networks.
We decided to combine our lacemaking knowledge and the newly acquired knowledge and experience from the project. Thus, we made a video about the project, and to expand our network outside of our country, we drew a simple pattern for making bobbin Idrija lace and recorded a video tutorial for it in English.
