The EPALE Regional Conference and EAAL Closing Conference was held in Laško between 24 and 25 September. Local representatives of AE participated together with guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia. The event organizers, CMEPIUS in the role of the National Support Services of EPALE Slovenia, and the SIAE, the national coordinator of the EAAL project, have joined forces and linked two European initiatives, which are implemented in Slovenia under the aegis of the European Commission.
The EPALE Regional Conferences represented an opportunity for the EPALE National Support Sevices in South-East Europe to exchange their experiences and ideas. The event, which is held every year, rotating among different participating countries, dealed with concerns of topical interest. Namely, the emphasis was placed on the reflection on the implementation of the EU Council Recommendation Upskilling Pathways: New Opportunities for Adults in participating countries.
After attending a conference in Croatia in 2016, a year later in Bosnia and Herzegovina and last year in Montenegro, we enjoyed hosting our guests from the region in Slovenia this year.
Detailed information on the event are available at the conference website and a blog will be posted on EPALE shortly.
