The EPALE editorial team has prepared a fresh selection of content designed to keep us connected with current topics and challenges in the world of ALE. In March, the focus was on developing a deeper understanding of skills in a constantly changing world, shaped above all by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and the environmental crisis.

The Intelligent Age: How AI is Redefining Personal and Professional Growth – In this blog post, Luisa Esposito, Project Manager at EIT Urban Mobility, explores what it takes to thrive in a rapidly transforming world where adaptability is key. At the centre of this shift is EIT Campus, an organisation equipping learners to navigate effectively in what she calls the Intelligent Age.

The blog post Helping Adults Build Skills for a Sustainable Future by Chrysanthi Charatsari, a researcher at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, presents ten key recommendations for fostering skills in learners that support the creation of a sustainable future. The insights are intended for policymakers, researchers and adult educators.

In her blog post titled Gender Mainstreaming: Challenges and Paths Ahead, Viola Pinzi from the EAEA analyses how social challenges and persistent stereotypes continue to affect women’s access to education and employment. She also discusses how integrating gender perspectives can enrich the policy development process.
