Autumn is rich in grapes, apples, pears and other juicy fruits. It is also juicy and diverse on the EPALE platform, which is richer for many exciting contributions.

We invite you to read the EPALE Community Stories created as part of this year’s initiative. Two Slovenian stories have already been published: Gabi Ogulin Počrvina: Knowledge as a tool of greater inequalities? and Ana Kaučič: Mobility and cooperation.

Also interesting are the articles on Erasmus+ projects prepared by educators from various organisations. For example, read about the implementation of mobility, which aims to find new, innovative approaches to working with immigrants in the article A visit to the Ante Babić Umag AEC.

Read about libraries’ creative approach to promoting reading in the article Promoting Reading – Difficult Readers. Once COVID-19 hits, plans need to change and adapt to the situation. That is what participants in the Let’s Be Competent project were forced to do when all of a sudden they had to find a new structured course. And so they participated in a seminar in neighbouring Croatia. Although they did not go far, they learned a lot. Also, read the article entitled Project “No to plastics” – Two birds with one stone, so that our future visits to cemeteries will be more environmentally friendly. Do you like to play? At Trebnje Centre for Education and Culture, they do! Therefore, together with partners, they are working on the SkillupGAME project and have prepared training for trainers in the field of game-based education. At EPALE, they are presenting the training on gamification in Prague. There they learned about many exciting games that enrich learning.

Many barriers limit adults when deciding to participate in education. We already know quite a few of them, and for some, adult educators have developed mitigation measures. Nevertheless, new, possibly hidden, invisible ones are emerging. Tina Mavrič, who works at the EAEA, highlighted these invisible barriers in her article Invisible barriers: how my mother almost became an adult learner.
