In July, the SIAE released a publication entitled About my work as a Quality Counsellor in Adult Education (in Slovenian). Authors Sonja Klemenčič and Dr Tanja Možina introduce the complexity of the role of quality counsellor in AE through a story. In the book, a quality counsellor tells us how to establish the role of quality counsellor in an educational organization, and presents challenges, issues and, last but not least, the responsibility she encounters in her team work. Illustrations representing different situations when working with a team were created by Matej de Cecco.
In Slovenia, the work of quality counsellors in AE began in 2007, when the idea was conceived at the SIAE and the first trainings were carried out. Later, the quality counsellors united into a national network of quality counsellors in adult education, under which they carry out various joint activities. In this way, they support and upgrade existing internal quality systems in organizations where they work.
In 2019, there are 22 quality counsellors who work at 21 organizations – AEC, high schools, short-cycle colleges and private educational organizations.
An electronic version of the publication is available in the Digital Reading Room. It was released as part of the Expert Support for the Acquisition of Key Competences 2016–2022 EFS project.
