Over 100 unemployed youth gathered for sports games

On Thursday, 13 June, the 15th tournament of PLYA+ programme participants took place in the courtyard of the Don Bosco Centre in Celje. The event was organised and carried out by young people from the PLYA+ programme of the Zavod Za vas živim organisation.

Volleyball, futsal and team challenges

The purpose of the event was to bring together young people from all PLYA+ programmes in Slovenia, encouraging socialisation and participation in sports. A total of 117 participants from 9 different towns gathered. We competed in volleyball and futsal tournaments. During the team challenges, the young participants enjoyed themselves while testing their various skills.

The trophy stayed in Celje

The combined scores from all the games determined the winner and recipient of the trophy. This time, we proudly took the trophy from last year’s winners, the Maribor team, and kept it in Celje. We are absolutely thrilled by this victory.
At the end of the tournament, we enjoyed refreshments and had time to socialise, which the young participants made the most of.
