At Koper AEC, we never run out of ideas. This year too, we offered participants and visitors a rich programme as part of the Days of Guidance for Learning. Together, we explored new technologies, sustainable practices, languages, creative tools and current labour-market challenges.

In the workshop AI Bits and Pieces, participants were introduced to artificial intelligence and the ChatGPT tool. They explored how it works and how it can be used for learning, creating, translating or simply for enjoyable conversation. The liveliest part came when they tried the tool themselves and discovered how it could help them in everyday life. They gained knowledge and guidance for further exploration. The workshop fulfilled its aim: to spark curiosity and present technology in a clear, practical and accessible way.

With a pleasant green touch, we ran the plant swap titled By Giving, You Act Sustainably! Once again, flowers, herbs, houseplants and seeds found new owners. At the same time, we presented useful apps for recognising plants and reminded ourselves that they are not just beautiful. Did you know that greenery reduces stress and improves well-being?

At this year’s event, all of us – more than 150 participants, hosts and speakers – enjoyed relaxed socialising and a rich programme. We came away with many new ideas. Together, we realised that knowledge is not just about learning, but also about growth, creativity and connection. And that is precisely what keeps moving us forward.

At the workshop Off I Go… in Slovenian!, we presented an online Slovenian language course at the B1 level, developed within the Erasmus+ eRead project. It is designed for adults who wish to develop their reading literacy and communication skills independently, and it offers a modern approach through digital technology.

The ever-popular Canva platform once again impressed participants. Beginners discovered how easy it is to create attractive and imaginative promotional materials to enhance both personal and professional projects.

We also addressed key HR issues at the professional event Coastal HR Challenges, held for the sixth time. Experts emphasised that employees are the greatest asset of the 21st century, making motivation, retention and engagement with the labour market essential. Special emphasis was placed on cooperation between educational institutions and the business sector as a foundation for future development.
