InCastra – Day of Industry and Entrepreneurship Ajdovščina is a two-day event organised by Ajdovščina AEC on behalf of the Municipality of Ajdovščina. For the seventh consecutive year, the event brought together innovative and globally successful companies from the region, including Pipistrel, VRC Springs, C-Astral, Tosla, Sartorius, Incom and many others. Once again, these companies opened their doors to visitors, showcasing the professions of the future – a precious opportunity for young people who are exploring career options.
This year’s InCastra: health and innovation in focus
A roundtable discussion titled Work with Heart highlighted the importance of workplace health. Statistics show a rise in work absences due to ageing, stress, unhealthy diets and lack of physical activity. Experts emphasised that investing in employees’ mental and physical health reduces absences while improving satisfaction and efficiency.
Youth and the future of professions
Friday was dedicated to 430 8th-grade pupils, who visited 22 local companies to learn about the professions of the future.
The main event at the airport
On Saturday, over 50 companies showcased their work at Ajdovščina Airport through interactive displays and an accompanying programme. Visitors enjoyed workshops, performances, a treasure hunt and a flight simulator experience.
Additional activities
From 16 to 20 September, lectures on workplace health were held, culminating in a roundtable discussion with leading experts that highlighted the importance of improving working conditions.
The event exceeded expectations, attracting visitors from neighbouring municipalities who expressed a desire for similar initiatives in their communities.
