The 9th EPALE Regional Conference, titled Shaping the Future Through the Lessons of the Past, took place in Bled on 25 September. The event offered a space for networking and for sharing knowledge and visions for the future of ALE in South East Europe.
The conference was the result of cooperation among the EPALE National Support Services from six countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia.
Presentations by experts showed that the European vision of the Union of Skills is interwoven with local needs in every country. Key themes included the development of basic and digital competences, inclusive policies and the linking of education with the labour market.
The afternoon featured a round table marking the 10th anniversary of EPALE, where active members of the EPALE community underlined the importance of cooperation, openness and innovation. The overall message of the event was clear: EPALE remains a space for connection, learning and co-creating the future of ALE in the region.
